What we do
The purpose of the Spiritual Book Club is to draw practical lessons and inspiration from the lives of the saints and related spiritual texts, which can then be applied to our own lives within our given circumstances. We meet on the second Monday of every month (excluding May) from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the St. Basil Conference Room (church library).
Schedule
Our next meeting will be on Monday, November 10th. We are currently reading The Way of a Pilgrim.
We are reading the $7 version of The Way of a Pilgrim which is available in the church bookstore. This edition contains previously omitted text restored from the original Russian manuscript. Plus, pick-up a free copy of A Short Anthology on the Jesus Prayer which will also be available in the church bookstore.
The Way of a Pilgrim is a wonderful story about how a humble pilgrim found the gift of noetic prayer while living amidst the distractions of the world is a favorite and timeless classic. Many people read it in a single sitting and return to it again and again over the years. There is boundless wealth in these simple, unassuming words…
